Garth Brooks Event Day

Garth Brooks makes his electrifying return to Arizona on Saturday, March 23rd before a record-breaking, sellout crowd of over 75,000 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.  

All fans should be aware that in addition to the Garth Brooks Stadium Tour, State Farm Stadium is also hosting Cirque du Soleil in Parking Lot W3 with two performances scheduled on March 23rd (1:00 PM and 5:00 PM) and Trisha’s Tailgate on South Lawn beginning at 2:30 PM. 

To minimize inconvenience or delays, State Farm Stadium strongly recommends that all ticket holders:

  1. Arrive in the stadium area early (no later than 4 PM) & carpool.
  2. Follow the directions of traffic police & park in the first available lot.
  3. Leave bags at home.

Event Day Timeline

  • 12PM: Sportsman’s Park carparks open for vehicles and fans
  • 1PM: Westgate parking lots open
  • 2:30PM: Trisha's Tailgate opens
  • 3PM: Great Lawn opens for tailgating
  • 5PM: Public entrances, Gates 1, 2 and 3 open for all ticket holders
  • 7PM: Show begins

Parking Information

If driving to the concert, heavy traffic on all roadways should be anticipated and planned for with the heaviest volume anticipated between 4 PM and 7 PM. We strongly recommend that fans plan for extra time getting to the stadium and to arrive early and no later than 4 PM to minimize the potential for delays. 



State Farm Stadium is located in Glendale, Arizona, 16 miles (approximately 24 minutes) west of downtown Phoenix. The stadium should be accessed from AZ Loop 101 utilizing Exit 5 (Camelback Road) or Exit 7B (Glendale Road). 

The Glendale Traffic Management Center, in partnership with ADOT, will be monitoring event day traffic and providing real-time traffic management via Twitter at Fans can also call 511 for the latest updated traffic information.

Westbound Loop 101 Closure from Pima Road to Scottsdale Road

Loop 101 Westbound will be closed from Pima Road to Scottsdale Road starting at 10:00 PM on Friday, 3/22 through 5:00 AM on Monday, 3/25.  Concert traffic should consider using alternate routes such as SR-51 North to Loop 101 West.  If utilizing Loop 101 Westbound, consider exiting early to avoid the closure detour area as delays are possible.

  • Alternate routes will include exiting Loop 101 at (Princess) Pima Rd North to Thompson Peak Parkway West to Scottsdale Road South to re-enter Loop 101 West.
  • Additionally, traffic can exit at Loop 101 at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and head West to Scottsdale Road North to re-access Loop 101 West. Traffic should consider exiting early to avoid the closure detour area as delays are possible.

Concert Parking

In addition to stadium parking lots, concert parking is available at Westgate and in lots located throughout the Glendale Sports and Entertainment District. Upon arrival to the stadium area, fans should follow the directions of Glendale Police Officers and park in the first available lot. All parking lots in the Glendale Sports and Entertainment District are conveniently located and a 5 to 10 minute walk to the stadium depending on the lot location.

  • Parking at the stadium or at Westgate will cost $20 per vehicle. Please have cash available for parking as credit cards are not accepted at all parking locations.
  • Tailgating will be permitted in all stadium parking lots however no tailgating will be allowed in Westgate lots. For those who would like to tailgate, please arrive early and park in a stadium lot.

ADA Parking

Trisha's Tailgate

State Farm Stadium is excited to welcome Trisha's Tailgate hosted by country superstar Trisha Yearwood on Saturday, March 23 from 2:30-5:30pm ahead of Garth Brooks’ sold out stadium show.

Guests  will enjoy unlimited food and two drink tickets. On the menu will be some of Trisha’s favorite tailgate bites and drinks ranging from coffee to cocktails including one of her signature drinks, “Summer in a Cup” made exclusively by Williams Sonoma.

Westgate Entertainment District

Grab pre-show dinner, drinks and memories at Westgate Entertainment District, a restaurant landscape within walking distance of the stadium. Westgate offers nearly 20 full-service eateries that satisfy any palate type (range: think classics to buzzy newbies). Tailgate at Great Lawn

Tailgate for #GARTHinGLENDALE on the Great Lawn with family and friends. Tents, tables, coolers and chairs are permitted. The below rules must be adheared to for safety and enjoyment of all fans. 

  • Hours of Activity: Tailgating activities are permitted from the opening of the Great Lawn and all parking areas at 3pm until 7pm only. Tailgating after the event has begun or post-game is not permitted.
  • Alcohol Consumption: Excessive or underage consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated. Drinking games or any other activity that is linked to competitive or binge drinking are not permitted. Games or activities determined by security staff to be unsafe or which could cause harm to other fans will not be allowed.
  • Grills: Natural gas or propane grills are permitted, however, charcoal grills and oil fryers are not permitted.
  • Tents: Fans are permitted to bring up to a 10’ by 10’ shade tent for use on the grass areas within Sportsman’s Park. So that many fans can enjoy the Great Lawn and south fields, tailgate groups will be limited to one tent. Fans are not allowed to rope off or reserve large tailgate areas on the Great Lawn.
  • Food and Beverages: Fans are limited to preparing/providing food and beverages for their family and friends only. Private catering companies or the sale of food or beverage items to other fans is not permitted.
  • Unmanned Aircraft Systems: Unmanned aircraft systems (i.e. drones, radio controlled model aircraft, etc.) are prohibited. Possession or operation of such devices will result in immediate ejection from the area and law enforcement intervention.
  • Audio Equipment: Portable public address systems are not permitted and large portable radios and sound systems inside vehicles cannot be used at excessive volume levels or play music not suitable for a public setting (i.e. profanity in lyrics) as determined by parking lot or security team member.
  • Generators: Small portable electric generators (6500W or less) are allowed, however, electrical cords cannot be placed across parking area drive aisles, any sidewalk or create a trip hazard for other fans.
  • Prohibited Items and Activities: Weapons of any kind, fireworks, glass containers, the sale of goods or services, advertising or the display of commercial signage on tents is not permitted.
  • Waste: The Cardinals encourage all fans to reduce, reuse and recycle and dispose of all waste in appropriate waste and recycling containers located throughout all tailgating areas.

Tailgating in Sportsman's Park Carparks

Tailgating is allowed in Sportsman’s Park carparks. Carparks open at 12pm on event day. Respect fellow fans by only occupying one parking stall. Tailgating should take place directly behind a vehicle or in adjacent landscape areas only. Do not block other stalls, walkways or any aisle ways with tents, trailers, chairs, coolers or barbeques. Saving parking spaces is not allowed at any time. Fans who want to tailgate together must arrive together. Tailgating activities are allowed from when carparks open until 7pm only. Sportsman’s Park carparks close one (1) hour after the game.

Security Procedures

NFL Clear Bag Policy and normal security protocol will be in effect for the Garth Brooks concert. All fans will be subject to security screening prior to entry into State Farm Stadium. Metal detectors will be used to screen fans and a search of all items will take place at Access Control Points. Fans electing not to consent to the metal detector screening or physical pat-down, along with bag search, will be denied entry into the stadium.

Security checkpoints are busiest during the 30 minutes leading up to the concert. Fans are encouraged to enter early.

Clear Bag Policy

The NFL Clear Bag Policy will be enforced for the Garth Brooks concert.  We strongly recommend fans to not bring any bags however the following will be permitted:  One clear bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” or a standard one (1) gallon freezer bag.  Please review the complete bag policy & prohibited item summary at the stadium website.

The following items are not be permitted inside State Farm Stadium. There are no provisions to store items not allowed through security and items cannot be held by security staff members.

  • Bags not in accordance with the NFL Clear Bag Policy

  • Banners or signs larger than 28" x 22" - Garth Brooks Stadium Tour Only
  • Beverages other than one (1) factory-sealed, non-frozen 500mL (16.9 fl. Oz.) plain bottle of water (sport drinks and flavored water not permitted)
  • Beverage containers – Bottles, cans and thermos bottles
  • Brooms
  • Cameras with professional photo lenses
  • Chewing tobacco
  • Clothing deemed obscene or indecent
  • Coolers of any kind
  • E-cigarettes or vaporizer pens
  • Fireworks
  • Folding chairs
  • Food (except for children under the age of two)
  • Footballs and beach balls (inflated or deflated)
  • GoPro cameras
  • Illegal drugs
  • Laptop computers
  • Laser pointers
  • Mono/tripods
  • Noise makers (whistles, horns, bells, etc.)
  • Poles or sticks of any kind, including “Selfie-Sticks”
  • Umbrellas larger than 12 inches in length

  • Weapons – including, but not limited to, firearms & knives
  • Any item deemed inappropriate or hazardous by stadium security

Security Screening

Metal detector screening and a search of all bags and other items being carried in will take place at stadium gates. There are no provisions available at the stadium to store or safeguard any prohibited bags. Guests will be asked to return prohibited items to their cars.

Mobile Ticket Entry

If you have tickets on your mobile device, locate the tickets in the Ticketmaster App or the mobile Ticketmaster website. Ticket barcodes can be found in the Ticketmaster app or website under My Account.  Downloading ticket(s) to a phone's digital wallet prior to the event is recommended as it will allow for seamless entry into the stadium if there is limited cell phone service. If tickets were purchased for friends or family, transfer tickets so each fan scans a ticket at the door. Upon arrival at the stadium, present the barcode to the ticket scanner and you're in. Field Level Seating

Fans with Field Level tickets should enter on the North side of the stadium at Gate 2 that faces the Westgate Entertainment District. Upon entering the stadium at Gate 2, Field Level ticket holders will be issued a wristband. Both a ticket and wristband will be required to access Field Level seating areas. All fans should be familiar with the Mobile Entry requirements prior to arriving at the stadium.

Ticket Resell / Scalping

The resale of event tickets, regardless of price, is prohibited at State Farm Stadium and throughout Sportsman’s Park. Guests that purchase tickets from someone other than the State Farm Stadium Ticket Office or Ticketmaster do so at their own risk. State Farm Stadium is not responsible for invalid tickets and will not provide a replacement or refund of any kind for invalid tickets purchased through a secondary ticket provider.

Will Call

Will Call windows are located at the State Farm Stadium Ticket Office. The Ticket Office opens at 10am Saturday, March 23. Will Call tickets only can be claimed by the indiviudal whose name appears on the will call ticket envelope. State or government picture ID is required.

Food & Beverage

State Farm Stadium offers a variety of game day favorites and local cuisine. For fans interested in taking a go at the Gridiron Burger Challenge or for the fan looking for Gluten Free fare, there is something to please everyone!

All major credit cards are accepted, including at most portable locations.

Alcohol Policy

State Farm Stadium strongly encourage all guests to exercise responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Fans should be aware of the following alcohol policies during events.

  • Any fan that shows signs of impairment and/or intoxication will not be allowed to enter or will be removed from State Farm Stadium and subject to arrest.
  • No alcoholic beverages can be brought inside the stadium. Any attempt to bring alcohol inside the stadium or possession of an alcoholic beverage not purchased from the stadium's concessionaire may result in ejection.
  • State of Arizona law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 years of age. All fans should be prepared to show proper identification if requested by the concessionaire staff member.
  • Concessionaire staff members reserve the right to deny service to fans that show signs of impairment and/or intoxication.
  • Fans providing alcoholic beverages to persons less than 21 years of age will be ejected from the stadium and subject to arrest.
  • Fans possessing alcohol that do not have proper identification when requested by a concessionaire or security staff member may be ejected.
  • A maximum of two alcoholic beverages or 40 ounces of beer will be sold per person per transaction.
  • Stadium management reserves the right to change these policies and procedures at any time and without prior notice to fans.

ADA Parking

All Sportsman's Park carparks and most other event day parking lots have signed ADA parking spots. A valid state-issued hangtag or license plate is required to park in a signed ADA spot. Please contact at 602-379-0102 for more information on ADA parking on event days.

ADA Seating

ADA seating is located on all three concourses at State Farm Stadium, including all Lofts and Field Boxes. All levels can be accessed by elevators located near the five stadium entrance locations. One power outlet is available at each ADA seating platform for use by fans with electric wheelchairs and other necessary equipment. For questions prior to the event, email [email protected]. For questions upon arrival to the stadium, contact a Guest Services Representative for any needed assistance.

Courtesy Cart Service

A Courtesy Cart Service is available to mobility impaired fans from ADA parking areas to the Access Control Points. These carts are limited to mobility impaired fans and one companion. The carts will only take fans to the closest entrance. There is no cart service available inside State Farm Stadium. The cart service will be available two hours prior to the game and until one-hour post game. Fans should wait at the large red numbers and letters (1,2,3 and E & W) outside of the gates for carts to meet them when exiting.

Wheelchair Assistance

The State Farm Stadium is pleased to provide wheelchair assistance for mobility impaired guests. Wheelchair assistance is available to guests upon entry into the stadium and is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for wheelchair assistance can be made by asking a stadium staff member or by visiting a Guest Services Office located near Sections 104, 123, 417 and 448.

The stadium will provide wheelchairs and a staff member to escort guests to their seats, but it is requested that mobility impaired patrons be accompanied by another adult in their party. Upon arrival at the seating location, guests are required to surrender wheelchairs to stadium staff. Stadium provided wheelchairs may not be used as temporary seating for events. To make arrangements for post-event wheelchair assistance, guests are asked to fill out a wheelchair escort request form stating their desired pick-up time and location. Wheelchair escort request forms are available at all stadium Guest Services Offices. When exiting the stadium, guests will be brought to the exterior glass doors on the stadium's Main Concourse Level. All requests for wheelchair escorts are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. A short wait time may be required.

First Aid

State Farm Stadium has four First Aid locations available to assist fans. The First Aid offices are located along the Main Concourse at Sections 122 & 136 and Terrace Concourse  at Sections 416 & 448.

Guest Services Offices

Guest Services Offices are located along the Main Concourse at Sections 104 & 123 and Terrace Concourse at Sections 417 & 448. Fans may obtain information or assistance at any Guest Service Office at the stadium.

Family Restroom

There are a total of 12 family restrooms located throughout the stadium. All family restrooms are outfitted with baby-changing tables and are ADA compliant. Family restrooms are located on the Main Concourse near Sections 102, 114, 124 & 136, Club Concourse at Sections 204, 219, 230 & 247 and Terrace Concourse at Sections 404, 421, 435 & 454.

Pay Phones / TDD Phones

State Farm Stadium does not have any payphones available to fans. However, fans can request the use of a phone at any of the four Guest Services Offices. A TDD phone for hearing and speech impaired fans is located at the Guest Services Office next to Gate 1.

Re-Entry Policy

State Farm Stadium has a NO RE-ENTRY policy. Ticketed guests who leave the building are NOT permitted to re-enter with a previously scanned ticket.

Smoking Policy

State Farm Stadium is a non-smoking facility including the use of e-cigarettes. Designated smoking areas on the Main Concourse are located at Gate 2 and outside the exit doors at sections 102 and 137. Guests on the Club, Loft, and Terrace levels can proceed to designated smoking locations on the north entry/exit ramp. Guests smoking outside the stadium must remain 20 feet away from any entry/exit doors.

WiFi Access

Complimentary WiFi access is provided throughout the stadium during the concert. To access, turn on the WIFI on a wireless device and connect to STADIUM WIFI, no password is required.
